Alicia Evangelides

Alicia Evangelides is a Senior Program Associate for the Rule of Law Index team at the World Justice Project.

Prior to joining the WJP, Alicia worked at Columbia University’s Global Policy Initiative, a small research initiative designed to bridge the gap between academia and policymaking. She has held staff and intern positions at Rotary International, Internews, The Advocacy Project, and the International Institute of Boston, among others. Her areas of interest include international human rights and humanitarian law (particularly enforcement and compliance mechanisms), and alternative and informal dispute settlement mechanisms. She has conducted research on tribal women’s courts in western India and on the consequences of extreme inequalities for the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Alicia holds a Master of International Affairs degree from the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University, where she studied human rights and quantitative analysis. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations and Spanish from Tufts University.
