Masri, Executive Vice President for Global Centers and Global Development at Columbia University, and a Senior Research Scholar at Columbia’s School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA).

He discussed the rights-based framework for international mobility and the goals of reaffirming the existing rights afforded to mobile people, the corresponding rights and responsibilities of states, and the expansion of those basic rights where warranted.
