Yasmine Ergas is Director of the Specialization on Gender and Public Policy and Lecturer in Discipline in International and Public Affairs. She also directs the program in Gender and Human Rights of Columbia University’s Institute for the Study of Human Rights, is a member of the Executive Committee of the University’s Institute for Research on Women, Gender and Sexuality, and is the co-convener of the Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies Council at Columbia University. 

Alex Aleinikoff is University Professor, and has served as Director of the Zolberg Institute on Migration and Mobility since January 2017.

Susan Martin is the Donald G. Herzberg Professor Emerita of International Migration. She was the founder of the Institute for the Study of International Migration in the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University. She is currently serving as Chair of the Thematic Working Group on Environmental Change and Migration in the Knowledge Partnership on Migration and Development in the World Bank.

Steven S. Nam, Esq. is a commission member of the Model International Mobility Treaty Commission under Columbia University's Global Policy Initiative, where he is helping to draft the International Convention on the Rights and Duties of All Persons Moving from One State to Another.

Saskia Sassen is the Robert S. Lynd Professor of Sociology and is a member of the Committee on Global Thought, Columbia University.

Sarah Deardorff Miller is Adjunct Assistant Professor of International and Public Affairs at the Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) where she is leading the Capstone Mercy Corps project, which focuses on refugee youth. She is also adjunct faculty with American University's School of International Service and the University of London's School of Advanced Study.

Sarah F. Cliffe is currently the director of New York University’s Center on International Cooperation. Prior to that, she was the Special Representative for the World Bank’s World Development Report on Conflict, Security and Development, and the Special Adviser and Assistant Secretary-General of Civilian Capacities to the United Nations.

Dr S. Irudaya Rajan is Chair Professor, Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs (MOIA) Research Unit on International Migration at the Centre for Development Studies, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.

Rey Koslowski is Associate Professor of Political Science, Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy, Director of the Master of International Affairs program and an affiliated faculty member the Information Science PhD program, University at Albany (SUNY). 

Randall Hansen is Interim Director of the Munk School of Global Affairs and Full Professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of Toronto, and Canada Research in Global Migration.

In the aftermath of some thirty years (1979-2009) of continuous service with the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR), including his posting as Director of UNHCR office in New York, Pierre now engages in public advocacy consulting activities on global humanitarian, peace and security global topics.

Peter J. Spiro holds the Charles Weiner Chair in international law. Before joining Temple’s faculty in 2006, Professor Spiro was Rusk Professor of Law at the University of Georgia Law School. A former law clerk to Justice David H. Souter of the U.S. Supreme Court, Spiro specializes in international, immigration, and constitutional law.

Parvati Nair is currently on secondment from Queen Mary, University of London to work as Founding Director of the United Nations University Institute in Barcelona, Spain, which focuses on globalization, culture and mobility. She is Professor of Hispanic, Cultural and Migration Studies at Queen Mary, University of London.

Michael W. Doyle is a University Professor at Columbia University, affiliated with the School of International and Public Affairs, the Department of Political Science, and the Law School, and the former Director of the Columbia Global Policy Initiative.

Justin MacDermott is the Deputy Director of the Division for Migration and Asylum at Ministry of Justice of Sweden. He was the Former Adviser supporting the Special Representative of the Secretary-General for International Migration, Mr. Peter Sutherland. Most recently, he served as Senior Policy Adviser in the Secretariat for the Swedish Chairmanship of the Global Forum on Migration and Development.

Justin Gest is an Assistant Professor of Public Policy at George Mason University’s Schar School of Policy and Government. His teaching and research interests include comparative politics, minority political behavior, and immigration policy. 

Joseph Blocher is Professor of Law at Duke University School of Law.

José Antonio Ocampo is director of the Economic and Political Development Concentration in the School of International and Public Affairs, Member of the Committee on Global Thought and co-President of the Initiative for Policy Dialogue at Columbia University. He is also the Chair of the Committee for Development Policy, an expert committee of the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC).

Joel P. Trachtman is Professor of International Law at The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University.

Jagdish Bhagwati is a University Professor at Columbia University and Director of the Raj Center on Indian Economic Policies.

Ian Matthew Kysel is the Dash/Muse Fellow with the Human Rights Institute. Before joining the Institute, he was the Aryeh Neier Fellow with the Human Rights Program of the American Civil Liberties Union and the US Program of Human Rights Watch and coordinated the organizations' legal and advocacy work related to the solitary confinement of children.

Guy S. Goodwin Gill is Professor of Law at UNSW and Acting Director of the Kaldor Centre for International Refugee Law. He is also Emeritus Fellow of All Souls College, Oxford and Emeritus Professor of International Refugee Law of the University of Oxford, and practices as a barrister from Blackstone Chambers in London.

Gregory Maniatis is the Director of the Open Society Foundations-International Migration Initiative.

Frans Bouwen is the Founder and Director responsible for External Relations at the international foundation The Hague Process on Refugees and Migration (THP since 2000). THP is a catalyst and stimulator for the development of innovative refugee and migration approaches, and seeks to connect various stakeholders – particularly business companies with cities – that have an interest in the field, and aspiring to facilitate a creative space for dialogue.

As a retired international civil servant, Mr. Fouinat has represented the United Nations in a number of important humanitarian functions in Asia, Africa, Latin America and Europe. After serving as the Chef de Cabinet to the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, he was in charge of UNHCR in the Asia Pacific region. In 1992-1993 he served as the Coordinator for UNHCR's activities in the former Yugloslavia and in 1999 he was selected as UNHCR's Chief of Operations for the Kosovo Emergency.

François Crépeau is Full Professor and holds the Hans and Tamar Oppenheimer Chair in Public International Law, at the Faculty of Law of McGill University. He was the United Nations Special Rapporteur on the Human Rights of Migrants from 2011 to 2017. He is a fellow of the Royal Society of Canada. In August 2015, he became Director of McGill's Centre for Human Rights and Legal Pluralism for a three-year mandate. He was appointed to Belgium's International Francqui Professor Chair in Social Sciences for 2017-2018 .

Emma Borgnäs is a Data and Policy Analyst for the International Organization for Migration (IOM) Global Migration Data Analysis Centre (GMDAC) and former Project Coordinator for the International Migration Project at Columbia Global Policy Initiative (CGPI). 

Elora Mukherjee is an Associate Clinical Professor of Law at Columbia Law School. Mukherjee is director of the Law School’s Immigrants’ Rights Clinic, which provides high-quality legal representation to both immigrant children and adults.

Elazar Barkan is Professor of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University, Director of SIPA's Human Rights and Humanitarian Policy Concentration, and Director of Columbia's Institute for the Study of Human Rights.

E. Tendayi Achiume is Assistant Professor of Law at UCLA School of Law. She is also a Research Associate with the African Centre for Migration and Society at the University of Witwatersrand. 

Donald M. Kerwin, Jr. has directed the Center for Migration Studies of New York (CMS) since September 2011. He previously worked for the Catholic Legal Immigration Network, Inc. (CLINIC) between 1992 and 2008, serving as its Executive Director (ED) for 15 years and its interim ED for six months in late 2012 and early 2013.

Diego Acosta Arcarazo is a Reader in European and Migration Law at the University of Bristol.

David Scott FitzGerald is Theodore E. Gildred Chair in U.S.-Mexican Relations, Professor of Sociology, and Co-Director of the Center for Comparative Immigration Studies.

Daniel Naujoks is Adjunct Associate Professor of International and Public Affairs at the School of International and Public Affairs and Lecturer in Law at the Columbia Law School at Columbia University. Naujoks focuses primarily on issues related to international migration and development and homeland-diaspora relations. He further concentrates on international development, transnational studies, gender, the economic impact of migration, normative citizenship theory, diverse societies, as well as on questions of inclusion and exclusion in host countries.

Cory Winter is the Program Manager at the Columbia University International Mobility Group (CIMG) working in the School of International and Public Affairs. At CIMG, Cory manages the team's day-to-day research, outreach, and operations, in addition to staffing CIMG director Michael Doyle on migration policy and organizational management.

Colleen Thouez is the division director of Welcoming and Integrated Societies at the Open Society International Migration Initiative. 

Bimal Ghosh has a long record of activities running concurrently between academia and international organizations. He is Emeritus Professor at Colombia’s Graduate School of Public Administration, and a Senior Fellow (global migration) at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, Geneva as well as at the Institute of International Policy and Diplomacy, University of Tadeo Lozano, Bogotá.

Bianca Z. Santos joined Pangea Legal Services in March 2014 after a year of volunteering with the organization. Prior to her work at Pangea, Bianca was the Program Director for the International Migrants Bill of Rights (IMBR) Initiative.

Benedita Menezes Queiroz is an Assistant Lecturer at the Instituto de Ciências Jurídico-Políticas (ICJP), and Researcher at the Lisbon Centre for Research in Public Law (CIDP).
